In the printed and digital book version, “Awakening to Our Wayuu Customs for the Care of Our Children, ” the booklet addresses pedagogically ancestral and scientific knowledge about breastfeeding, complementary feeding, and signs of malnutrition in Wayuunaiki and Spanish languages.
The visual and literary contents – chapter names, messages, and illustrations – were developed through participatory methodologies with fourteen Wayuu communities in the high Guajira.The visual and functional design of the booklet is the result of research and usability testing to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the materials in the environmental and cultural context.
